Sussex Tech announces personnel updates
GEORGETOWN — Dr. Matthew B. Donovan has been named Sussex Technical School District’s director of curriculum and instruction, succeeding Dr. Patricia Oliphant, who has retired.
Dr. Donovan joined Sussex Tech as its principal in July 2021.
In another shift, Dean Johnson, a former assistant principal, transferred into the position of coordinator of work-based learning. Mr. Johnson, who started his career at Sussex Tech in 2007, held the assistant principal role from 2018-23.
Replacing Mr. Johnson as an assistant principal will be Dr. Daniell Bullock, who started at the school in 2021 as an English teacher.
Additionally, Dr. John Demby, who joined Sussex Tech in 2005, will transfer to the newly created position of supervisor of community outreach for Adult Education. He has served as the high school’s assistant principal, principal and supervisor of student services and human resources.
