GEORGETOWN — The Sussex County Association of REALTORS announces Renee Parker as the recipient of the 2024 Good Neighbor Award.

This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to improving their communities through philanthropic endeavors and volunteerism.

In addition, SCAOR also donates $1,000 to the charity of choice for each year’s Good Neighbor Award winner.

Ms. Parker, a member of the SCAOR community, has been instrumental in her support for Redemption City, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the homeless population in Sussex County.

Nikki Gonzalez, founder and executive director of Redemption City, said, "Renee Parker's tireless efforts in fundraising and community outreach have been instrumental in the success of Redemption City. Her passion for helping those in need is truly inspiring, and we are grateful for her ongoing support."

Ms. Parker's involvement with Redemption City stems from her desire to continue assisting individuals facing mental health and substance abuse challenges. Prior to her career in real estate, Ms. Parker worked in the criminal justice system as a psycho-forensic evaluator, where she witnessed firsthand the importance of providing support and resources to vulnerable populations.

"I am honored to receive the Good Neighbor Award from the Sussex County Association of REALTORS," said Ms. Parker. "My commitment to serving others has always been a driving force in my life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in need."

In addition to her philanthropic efforts, Ms. Parker has organized fundraising events for Redemption City, including the Annual Golf Tournament and the Ugly Sweater 5K.
