A new survey of Delaware voters from Impact Research and GBAO Strategies, on behalf of Consumers for Quality Care showed that the state’s voters see lowering out-of-pocket healthcare costs more important than ever.
The survey, which included 600 registered Delaware voters, showed that 91% of them felt health care costs were more important than ever, finding that the top concern of voters was the amount of out-of-pocket costs. The survey also shows that voters struggled the most with deductibles and monthly premiums.
More than half of surveyed Delawareans said it is difficult to find mental health care provides that are affordable or covered by insurance. The survey also found that 72% agree costs are going up more than the costs of other needs, 82% think there are problems with Delaware’s health care system, and 52% have had their household finances affected by medical debt or are close with someone who has.
