Stockley Tavern mega-fundraiser supporting Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition: $109,940

GEORGETOWN – A monetary milestone was reached Saturday at the Stockley Tavern in a mega-fundraiser supporting Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

Through silent and live auctions, cornhole tournament, pig roast, 50/50 raffles, celebrity bartending tips and tavern’s match pledge and contribution, and outright community generosity, the 2021 edition of Bags, Booze & Boobs raised an astounding $109,940, far surpassing the $20,000 raised in the inaugural event last year during the COVID pandemic.

Stockley Tavern owner Ken Adams announced the final tally Sunday evening.

All proceeds and money raised support the DBCC, whose mission is to empower the community by raising awareness of breast health issues through outreach, education, and support services, in efforts to facilitate early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

The live auction featured a full-day Bill Slayer fishing trip, which fetched $4,100, and a Delaware license tag that drew a high bid of $2,600.
