State police seek witnesses to Dover shooting

DOVER — Delaware State Police are looking for a suspect and witnesses after a shooting on Palmer Road on Sunday.

Troopers responded to the incident at around 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound and gave medical aid, authorities said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to the thigh.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking on Palmer Road, when the suspect shot him from an unknown location, police said.
