LEWES – Delaware State Police are looking for Lewis M. Cameron, an 18-year-old from Hyattsville, Maryland, who was identified as a suspect in a shooting that happened in Lewes on Oct. 8 at around 6 p.m.

Troopers responded to a residence in the 31000 block of Maple Court last Sunday for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they located a 29-year-old Millsboro man in front of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Troopers provided medical care to the victim before he was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Mr. Cameron was identified as the suspect in the shooting through an investigation.

The Homicide Unit is actively investigating this incident. Attempts to locate Mr. Cameron have been unsuccessful and detectives are seeking the community’s help in locating him.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding Mr. Cameron’s whereabouts or the shooting to contact Det. M. Csapo at 302-741-2729.
