Just when people were getting used to seeing each other’s faces again, some stores are bringing back mask requirements for their employees — and strongly recommending them for their customers — as cases of COVID-19 continue to surge. The state has continued to recommend that unvaccinated individuals wear masks even though regulations were dropped May 21. Retailers such as Walmart, Target, Boscov’s, Kohl’s and Lowe’s are among businesses that are requiring masks for their employees and strongly encourage them for their customers.

- Uninformed but opinionated. Shocker. — Benjamin Black
- The short blurb literally says it’s businesses doing this and not the government. — Dale Bert
- Elections have consequences. Mask up vaccinated people. Woke science has taken over. I am allowed to call myself a “they” in their reality, where people live their “own truths.” — Ryan Fenimore

- Fauci in a video saying the jab does nothing to protect you from the delta variant. — Robert Locke
- Try again, that is not what he said in the video. So you might want to watch the video again. What Fauci is referring to (which he says in the video) is that the breakthrough cases — people who are vaccinated but still came down with COVID-19 — have just as much of the virus in their system as someone who was unvaccinated. This is a big difference from what you are claiming he said. The breakthrough cases are rare but do happen. This happens with all vaccines. Which is why we still get outbreaks of measles and mumps every once in a while. The spreading of misinformation like this is the reason why we are still dealing with this stupid virus and having to mask up. Everyone just needs to get vaccinated, so we can get back to normal. — Robert Selg
- When you fearmonger the public for so long, you don’t have to have mandates anymore. People will be willing to bend over backwards without you forcing them to from now on. — Christopher Joyce

- Florida: great Republican state and almost no COVID! Yeah, just kidding. — William Mazzariello
- I can’t believe people are still falling for this. — Katherine Hannah
- What I love most is that post-Labor Day, when the numbers are through the roof, it will be those that were unvaccinated in the state responsible for the spike and not the responsibility of the governor that allowed six states to continue to vacation in Delaware because of tourism. — Jeremiah Jones
