State Sen. Gerald Hocker wrote an Opinion on June 2, urging legislators to allow local leaders, not state leaders, to make decisions about their areas’ infrastructure.
- Leave the decisions to the local government and don’t vote these bills in. I agree with Gerald Hocker. That’s why we have local elections — to allow these officials to make decisions for our community. Living in the area it affects is all the more reason they should decide. — Lana Bowden
