Speak Up: Leaders need to tamp down Sussex development

Stephen Mannoia wrote an Opinion on March 7 to plead with Sussex County leaders to slow down rampant development.
My family and I have been so saddened by what has happened to Sussex County. The whole beautiful and rural area has become a conglomerate of overcrowded roads. Hospitals and clinics and labs are overwhelmed, not to mention how it has impacted schools. The people who work retail and construction and entertainment jobs are not able to afford to buy or rent houses close to their work. It’s been made to be a rich coastal area, which is overstuffed with exorbitantly priced housing and the heck with local people. — Joan Balback
