About 1 in 10 individuals entering a hospital emergency department nationwide have been diagnosed with influenza this season. That statement from Jennifer Horney, the founding director of the University of Delaware’s Epidemiology Program, was paired with a warning recently: “We are currently still in a very severe respiratory virus season.”
