Speak Up: County leaders discuss housing challenges, solutions

Posted

County leaders offered insight on the challenges facing Delaware’s housing market and potential solutions at a forum hosted by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce on Thursday. New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, Kent County administrator Ken Decker and Sussex County administrator Todd Lawson participated in “lightning round” presentations, during which a common theme presented itself: the need for affordable housing in the First State.

  • Affordable housing. Oh, well, now another committee to help with this situation. Anyone who has paid attention over past years has seen that Sussex County has made every stall tactic and policy at their disposal to prevent the crisis we now face. It only takes some time. — Sarah Reynolds
