CRISFIELD — A spaghetti dinner to benefit the Jay Tawes Memorial Scholarship is 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, April 17 at Immanuel United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 206 West Main Street.
Sponsored by Angel’s Attic Ministry, the cost is $18 per person, eat in or carry out. Includes salad, garlic bread and dessert. There will also be a “Celebrate Summer” silent auction, live music and photo booth.
Plans are to award the scholarship for the first time this year to benefit a person interested in ministry or divinity studies. Mr. Tawes was an active member of Immanuel and passed away Jan. 20, 2025 at age 73 and will always be remembered for his community spirit, faith, and support of his hometown of Crisfield.
