CRISFIELD — The Somerset County Fair is on for 2021 and contestants are now being accepted for Somerset County Fair Miss, Junior Miss and Little Miss pageants.
Because of the cancelation of activities last year due to the coronarvirus pandemic, the age requirements for this year (only) are being extended one additional year so as to not disappoint potential participants who were unable to take part in 2020.
Little Miss ages are 4 through 8; Junior Miss is 9 through 13; and Fair Queen is 14 through 19 on the day of the pageant. Little Miss and Junior Miss will take the stage 7 p.m. Monday, July 26 and the Fair Queen Pageant is 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 27.
All contestants must be a resident or full-time student in Somerset County or a member of a 4-H Club in Somerset County. Reigning royalty, runners-up from 2019, are Fair Queen Madison Clayton, Junior Miss Alayna Taylor, and Little Miss Stella Howard.
This year’s theme will be “Mermaid” with the event titled “Make A Splash.” As before all activities will be held at the Somerset County Civic Center in Princess Anne.
