SMYRNA — The John Bassett Moore (Smyrna) High School class of 1967 will be celebrating its 55th reunion the weekend of Oct. 28.

That Friday, the group plans to meet at Sheridan’s Irish Pub, Smyrna, and enjoy homecoming events afterward.

Organizers are inviting not only classmates but those who graduated from JBM in the mid- to late ’60s for the main reunion Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. at Belmont Hall, Smyrna.

A silent auction, to fund a scholarship in honor of Charles and Ruth Williams, will be part of the festivities. The Williamses were significant influences for many who graduated in 1967.

Tickets for the event are available for $50 per person, which covers the cost of heavy hors d’oeuvres. Any extra monies will be added to the scholarship fund. Purchase from Roger Hazzard at 302-883-1760, Nancy Vodvarka at 302-222-9363, Charlotte (Pearson) Cahall at 302-242-7379 or Lavoura Weed-Cahall at 302-242-8413.

The weekend will conclude with a brunch for 1967 classmates Oct. 30 at 11, at the home of Ms. Vodvarka.
