Single-vehicle crash in Milton leaves one dead, two seriously injured

MILTON — A 47-year-old Bridgeville man died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash Friday, Delaware State Police said.

Police said that at approximately 1:35 p.m., an eastbound vehicle veered off Milton-Ellendale Highway just west of Gravel Hill Road and crashed into a large tree.

Front-seat passenger Terrance Perry was transported to a nearby hospital where he died.

The driver, a 57-year-old Lincoln man, and rear passenger, a 60-year-old Milford man, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment for serious injuries, police said.

Milton-Ellendale Highway remained closed for approximately three hours as investigators examined the scene and cleared the roadway.

The Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this incident. Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed this crash to contact Senior Cpl. J. Smith by calling 302-703-3267. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
