SELBYVILLE — A 47-year-old Selbyville man was arrested Thursday for drug dealing and illegal firearms possession, after a search warrant was executed at his home, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.

Authorities said that, approximately two months ago, detectives began investigating William McQueeney, who was suspected of dealing drugs in both Delaware and Maryland.

At approximately 1:46 p.m. Thursday, police executed a search warrant at Mr. McQueeney’s residence on Hosier Street. He was taken into custody without incident in his parked car outside the house.

The property and vehicle were searched, and police located cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, five handguns, one shotgun, three rifles, rounds of ammunition, gun magazines, over $6,700 in suspected drug-dealing proceeds and drug paraphernalia, Cpl. DeMalto said.

Mr. McQueeney was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm while possessing a controlled substance (nine counts), possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in tier 1 and 2 quantities, possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts) and maintaining a drug property.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $281,400 cash bond.
