CLAYTON — A 60-year-old Clayton man was arrested on drug charges following a search warrant at a residence Monday, Delaware State Police said.
Police said that the warrant was executed at approximately 5 p.m. at a residence on the 2000 block of Downs Chapel Road. The search warrant was obtained following a two-month drug investigation of Homer Coffman, who was suspected of the large-scale distribution of narcotics, police said.
Mr. Coffman was taken into custody without incident.
Police said the search located approximately 52.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine, approximately $2,280 in suspected drug dealing proceeds, various paraphernalia including digital scales and distribution/packaging materials.
Mr. Coffman was charged with possession offenses including intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity and drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $120,200 secured bond.
