Salisbury Zoo visitors encouraged to take economic impact survey

Posted

SALISBURY — The Salisbury Zoo has partnered with BEACON at Salisbury University on an economic impact study, and visitors are encouraged to share their input.

The survey, which can be accessed at bit.ly/ZooSurvey2024, will allow BEACON – the Business Economic & Community Outreach Network – to analyze the economic impact of the Zoo, something that has not been done for 14 years.

Staff of the Salisbury Zoo and the City’s Arts, Business and Culture Department will be able to use the survey data to make improvements to the Zoo.

“We know that the Salisbury Zoo is valuable to our community, but this study will help us put a numerical value on that, which we can share with stakeholders in hopes of obtaining additional funding for our free-admission zoo,” said Allen Swiger, director of the Arts, Business and Culture Department.

The survey does not take long to fill out, and those who take the survey can be entered into a giveaway for a $250 Visa gift card.
