Salisbury Lions’s donation will aid students

Posted

The Salisbury Lions Club recently donated $23,000 worth of magnifiers to Wicomico Public Schools for use by students and teachers.

The donation included four Reveal 16 Digital Desk Magnifiers for students with sight loss or low vision.

The magnifiers will be used as a comfortable reading and writing aid.

This foldable video magnifier is designed to make reading and writing enjoyable for long periods.

The 16-inch touchscreen offers crystal-crisp image quality with its 10x live optical zoom camera and up to 45x digital magnification.

The donation also included five Optelec Magnifiers that enlarge newspapers, letters and magazines.

The magnifiers will help in the viewing of text and pictures, with a text speech feature that can read to students.
