Roof: It’s Democrats’ turn to live with consequences

Posted

In hopes there remains a few Americans over age 60 who’ve retained objectivity and have some modicum of common sense, I ask you this question: Have you ever seen the whining, moaning and heart wrenching we’ve seen in Democrats after the 2024 election?

I read with interest the comments of Mr. Dan Cannon, and it amazes me that anyone could reach the conclusions he did (“Trump blues? Take a collective deep breath”). Sadly, I know there are millions just like him. I’ve never thought much about “Trump derangement syndrome,” but it becomes more and more evident that it’s a national malady. Now, remember, Donald Trump was the 45th president of the United States. Under his watch, the U.S. was respected by its friends, scared by its enemies, the borders were secured, the cost of living was manageable, and there was not one single military involvement created during his administration.

Yet, there’s something about Donald Trump, who’d been a go-to guy before 2014 made him the villain of the legacy media. Suddenly, every mainstream media source alienated and attacked him. They ridiculed his wife and son, they castigated his choices of Cabinet members, and they celebrated when they turned on him. They pitted him against a man who they’d painted as a buffoon senator for Delaware prior to the election. Yet, Joe Biden became the darling of the media, and only by the miraculous appearance of 3 million votes in the nether hours of election night was he able to assume the presidency. Then, the media loosed the hounds when Trump questioned how he had gotten 8 million more votes than 2016 and lost to a man who’d “found” a windfall of votes. The word “denier” was created.

With Biden, the country was pushed toward communism from day 1. In the first week, Biden had revoked all the Trump initiatives — most notably, opening the southern border. He surrounded himself with the inept, the politically correct and people with little or no experience in their select roles. Go down the list of his Cabinet members and name a single individual respected in the field of their secretariat.

Then came 2024, and droves that had never been seen before voted democratically and told the current government that its actions were unacceptable. Donald Trump attracted more Republican votes than anyone in history, took every “swing state,” won over 300 Electoral College votes and won the popular vote. To the normal person, it would seem that American citizens had seen where Democrats were going and had no intention of following.

I must say Donald Trump is a much better person than I. Mr. Cannon worries about him seeking retribution of his enemies, but no normal-thinking person could deem it unjustified if he did. After all, the Biden administration has to be the most vindictive and corrupt group since Warren G. Harding’s Teapot Dome Scandal and the worst in celebrating the American way since Jimmy Carter.

You fear him firing Christopher Wray? Really? The Christopher Wray who, along with James Comey, allowed Peter Strzok to try and sabotage Trump’s election? The Christopher Wray who authorized a group of FBI agents and informants to instigate Jan. 6 riots? The same FBI that made claim that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian collusion? The FBI that, with the approval of Merrick Garland, authorized agents to use deadly force when they raided Trump’s home and trashed his wife’s lingerie drawers? The Christopher Wray who initially questioned whether Donald Trump had actually been shot by an assassin? Is that the Christopher Wray you’re concerned about?

Biden himself, with the help of a hidden group speaking in his stead, has spent less time in the White House than any politician in memory, other than those who served before there was a White House. His three-day workweeks and 10-to-2 hours are things of comedy. He sacrificed 13 military members with a haphazard withdrawal from Afghanistan. He implied that Russia could invade Ukraine. He allowed China to threaten Taiwan. He trashed the relationship being built in North Korea, and he’s hamstrung our only ally in the cauldron of the Middle East, Israel. His farcical portable wharf to Hamas in Gaza ended up killing another American military person. He called Republicans trash and Donald Trump a Nazi emulating Hitler, while quietly changing policy whereby the American military could be sent in violation of Posse Comitatus.

Under Democrats, “Speaker Emeritus” Nancy Pelosi conducted a political coup, and without a single question, an incompetent vice president — who’d done absolutely nothing the previous three years — was installed as the party standard-bearer. Without any turmoil, she was awarded all of Biden’s primary votes. She refused formal press conferences, had paid actors interact with her and spent over a billion dollars schmoozing Hollywood celebrities. And you’re worried about Donald Trump?

The words of Nancy Pelosi that were used against Republicans have now come home to roost, and Democrats are crying their hearts out. Perhaps you recall when Barack Obama took office, and she made headlines with this remark: “Elections have consequences.” Republicans understood and carried on. Now, it’s Democrats’ turn.
