Road closure of East Commerce Street between S. Dupont Blvd and Monrovia Avenue

SMYRNA — The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the closure of East Commerce Street between S. Dupont Blvd and Monrovia Avenue starting on Tuesday, April 30 through Thursday, May 9 (weather permitting) for the replacement of a water main.

Passenger vehicles wanting to travel east on SR 6 (East Commerce Street) from Southbound US 13 (North Dupont Boulevard) will turn left onto Monrovia Avenue, arriving at SR 6.

Trucks wanting to travel east on SR 6 (East Commerce Street) from southbound US 13 (North Dupont Boulevard) will turn left onto Mt. Vernon Street, turn right onto Oak Drive, arriving at SR 6.

Motorists wanting to travel east on SR 6 (East Commerce Street) from eastbound SR 6 will turn left onto northbound US 13 (North Dupont Boulevard) turn right onto Mt. Vernon Street, turn right onto Oak Drive returning to SR 6.

Motorists wanting to travel east on SR 6 (East Commerce Street) from northbound US 13 (North Dupont Boulevard) will turn right onto Monrovia Avenue, arriving at SR 6. Motorists wanting to travel south on US 13 (South Dupont Boulevard) from westbound SR 6 (East Commerce Street) will continue straight on SR 6 (East Commerce Street), turn left onto East Street, turn left onto South Street arriving at southbound US 13.
