Question of the Day: Where do you paint?

Posted

Here is the Question of the Day:

Artists will gather in both Laurel and New Castle on Saturday for plein-air painting. “En plein-air,” a French phrase meaning “in open air,” is the painting of a landscape or architecture outdoors. Paint Laurel Plein Air, part of the One-Laurel, One Day community event, is 7-11:30 a.m., after which visitors may view and purchase finished works. Artists will gather upstate at Paint Historic Old New Castle and create their interpretations of the town. Painting commences at 9 a.m. there, with display and purchase opportunities after 1 p.m. Do you paint en plein-air? What’s your favorite painting spot?
