In the months prior to Georgetown Speedway’s season opener, the owner was plenty busy revitalizing the facility. Bleachers, safety fence and railing have been added, and the track is now 25 feet wider, and the frontstretch now features a flagger stand from Dover Motor Speedway. Notorious NASCAR driver Ross Chastain is slated to participate in Friday’s Melvin L. Joseph Memorial race. Many fans favor dirt track racing.
