MILFORD — Residents are invited to comment on the final concept plan of the South Walnut Street Traffic Calming & Bike/Pedestrian Improvement Project during Monday’s City Council meeting.
The proposal will be voted on by council members following public comments Monday. The plan can be seen at cityofmilford.com.
Council reviewed the plan during Wednesday’s monthly workshop, but public comment was not permitted.
The final concept follows two open houses, in December 2022 and April 2023, during which the public also provided feedback.
Century Engineering was hired by the city to complete the traffic-calming study, which analyzed road conditions, identified improvements for traffic and speed reduction, located gaps in the pedestrian network and developed the recommended concept plan for bicycle, pedestrian and vehicle improvements for the South Walnut Street corridor.
The final plan will be used to develop additional capital projects in Milford.
