Police identify victims in fatal Ellendale crash

By ELLENDALE — Delaware State Police have identified Milford residents Joseph McIlvain, 30, and Shane Pennell, 29, as the men who died in a crash Saturday.
Spokeswoman Sgt. India Sturgis said the collision occurred when Mr. McIlvain lost control as he was driving on South DuPont Boulevard, south of Fleatown Road, at approximately 10:43 p.m. The vehicle left the road and overturned, police said.
The Troop 4 Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating and asks witnesses to call Senior Cpl. J. Smith at 302-703-3267, send a message via the state police Facebook page or contact Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.
