Pillsbury seeks another term on Dover City Council

DOVER — Councilwoman Dr. Julia M. Pillsbury has filed a nominating petition to defend her 1st District seat on City Council.

Councilwoman Pillsbury’s petition has been received and verified by the city clerk.

In a special election in 2021, she won the vacated seat of Councilman Matt Lindell, whose family moved out of the 1st District. She received 272 votes, while her opponent, Brandy Walker, got 236.

Dover’s municipal election is April 18.

The filing deadline for the position of mayor and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th District council seats is Jan. 31 at 4:30 p.m.
