MILFORD — The Food Bank of Delaware will hold its third annual Out Run Hunger 5K Run/Walk on June 26 at its new facility.
The proceeds will go toward hunger relief operations in Kent and Sussex counties, where there are more than 57,000 food-insecure residents, according to Feeding America.
The race starts at 6:30 p.m. at 102 Delaware Veterans Blvd. A postrace party will feature tie-dyeing, snacks prepared by the food bank’s culinary team, libations from easySpeak and music.
The first 125 registered participants will receive a T-shirt. And a complimentary cocktail ticket for those 21 and over will be provided.
Awards are to be given to the top overall finishers and the first finishers in 10-year age brackets.
The cost is $35. For every $1, the food bank can provide three meals for those in need.
