BLADES — Incumbents Nancy McAdams and Donald Trice and newcomer Susan Seltzer emerged as the top vote-getters Monday in a Town Council election that featured four candidates vying for three seats.

Ms. Seltzer polled 90 votes, while Councilwoman McAdams and Councilman Trice earned 73 and 59, respectively.

The three will serve two-year terms.

The fourth contender, Raymond Adkins, landed 41 votes.

Just over 100 of Blades’ 181 registered voters participated in the election, most in person. There were four absentee ballots.

The winners will be sworn in at the April 8 Town Council meeting.

In the 2023 election, incumbent Robert Atkinson retained the mayoral reins, while Garold Miller and William Stang claimed two council seats in a three-candidate race.
