SEAFORD — A 33-year-old Bridgeville man died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday, Delaware State Police said.

Police said Jamie Phillips was driving a Toyota Corolla that failed to stop at a stop sign at Hearns Pond and Conrail roads at approximately 5:34 a.m. The car went airborne at a railroad crossing and exited the north edge of Hearns Pond Road, crossing over a ditch, with its front center striking a tree.

Police said Mr. Phillips, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
