No injuries reported in Magnolia shooting incident

MAGNOLIA — No injuries were reported and suspects remained at-large in a shooting incident early Wednesday, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.

According to authorities, at approximately 12:14 a.m., troopers responded to Stevenson Drive for a report of shots fired into a residence. Troopers arrived and discovered that at least three unknown suspects had approached the property on foot and fired at the home several times, police said.

The suspects then fled the area and were unable to be located, police said. The motive behind the incient was unclear, Cpl. DeMalto said.

There were three adults and four children in the home at the time of the shooting, police said.

Surveillance video and images are not yet available, police said.

The Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit is still investigating this incident. Investigators ask anyone with information to call Det.F. Ofner at 302-698-8555.
