HARRINGTON – Each year the Delaware State Fair is filled with a variety of foods that fairgoers love to try.

Some are the craziest of foods that people never imagine they would be trying.

This year’s fair was no different. Many stands had fun fair food that was one of a kind.

Spaghetti Eddie’s is a pizza stand that has been to the state fair for about 20 years. They have pizza, pasta and other Italian foods.

But, this year, they debuted a new item to the menu: pickle pizza.

It is a pizza with their homemade garlic parmesan ranch sauce with dill pickle seasonings and pickle slices on top.

TJ Salvato has worked with Spaghetti Eddies for about three years. He explained that they had noticed other pizza stands making pickle pizza so they decided to put their own twist on it and saw instant success.

 “It has spread like wildfire,” Mr. Salvato said. “It has been awesome.”

They are excited to bring in crazy food ideas to fairs that become successful with the crowds.

Saturday is the final day of this year’s Delaware State Fair, so if you’re hungry, you’ll have plenty of options.

Many other stands have some foods that are out of the ordinary.

Fried candy bars have been a unique fair food for a long time. Dessert stands have fried Oreos, Reese’s, Snickers, and even Twinkies.

A stand combined a sweet treat with a savory burger to create the donut burger. It is a burger with all the condiments stuffed between two glazed donuts as the bun.

The list of crazy fair foods could go on. Each year the food stands try to develop more creative ideas to drive more people to try their foods during the fair.

Fairgoers love to see the different foods the stands have to offer. Some are even brave enough to try these crazy fair food options.
