Posted

MILTON – The Milton Chamber of Commerce recently announced the return of the Milton Holly Festival. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 11 in downtown Milton.
As in years past, this Holly Festival will feature more than 75 craft vendors, located throughout downtown Milton. Vendor locations include the newly renovated Milton Fire Hall, the Milton Public Library, and Goshen Hall.

New this year is the Holiday Village and Cheer Garden that will be located on the Milton Historical Society lot, next to the Lydia B. Cannon Museum. The Holiday Village is sponsored by Dogfish Head Brewery and will be filled with local non-profit organizations providing various activities, giveaways, etc. for both kids and adults to enjoy. The Cheer Garden will feature an assortment of adult beverages from event sponsor, Dogfish Head Brewery.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., inside the Lydia B. Cannon Museum, will be Santa Claus and a professional face painter providing services to festival attendees free of charge.
The Holiday Village and Cheer Garden are not all that are new this year; downtown Milton will be buzzing with live entertainment (thanks you to entertainment sponsor, Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant), outdoor vendors, food trucks, and more. As details are finalized, updates will be available on the festival website.

Also happening on Dec. 11 are two performances by the Capital Ringers; a community handbell ensemble, at the Milton Theatre. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to www.miltontheatre.com.
