Millsboro police honor Beebe emergency nurse

MILLSBORO — Police Chief Brian Calloway recently presented Jalissa Jones, a Beebe Healthcare emergency department nurse, with the Citation of Excellence award.

She was recognized for her selfless and lifesaving efforts during a homicide investigation.

Millsboro officers noted her calm demeanor in providing assistance, as emergency medical services arrived to the scene. Her help allowed police to focus on apprehending a suspect, the chief said.

Ms. Jones was joined by fellow nurses, Beebe leaders and Millsboro representatives during the recognition at the hospital in Lewes.
