REHOBOTH BEACH — A 61-year-old Millsboro man was charged with seventh offense DUI following a traffic stop Sunday, Delaware State Police said.

Police said Roy Brown driving on Coastal Highway in the area of Postal Lane at approximately 9:55 a.m. when pulled over for traffic offenses. A trooper contacted him and detected signs of impairment, police said.

Brown was taken into custody after he partially completed the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, police said. A computer check showed a court order resulting from a DUI that prevented Brown from driving a motor vehicle, along with several prior DUI convictions, police said.

Brown was charged with seventh offense DUI, noncompliance with bond conditions and traffic offenses. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $22,600 cash bond.
