I applaud the efforts of Mr. Dan Cannon to question just how much of a mandate Mr. Donald Trump actually earned (“Trump’s mandate claims unfounded”).
But I remember, many years ago, a college professor saying that, if a politician wins by one vote, he or she would consider that a mandate. I suspect that is still true. And, to an egomaniac like Donald Trump, doubly so.
