In response to the Opinions by Ashu Solo (“Lottery winnings should be spread out”) and Gina Campbell (“Lottery winning limits encouraged”): Limiting lottery wins to $2 million each is a very socialist thing. Plus, it would seriously limit the overall jackpots. The higher the jackpot, the more people who take chances.
If everyone knew that the most they could get would be $2 million, then what is the point of playing? Wealth is not meant to be shared equally. Many who become wealthy donate significant amounts to charities.
