Del.’s first mental/behavioral health summit is June 12

WILMINGTON — Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long will host the state’s first summit on the social and economic importance of mental and behavioral health June 12.

The 2023 Mental and Behavioral Health Summit: Pathways and Partnerships for a Stronger Delaware will take place at the Chase Center on the Riverfront from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and feature a variety of stakeholders, including local and national health experts and members of the General Assembly.

Panel discussions will highlight mental and behavioral health data, Delaware’s legislative and policy response to the behavioral health crisis, and front-line work led by advocates.

The event will close with a talk between Lt. Gov. Hall-Long and former U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy, the founder of The Kennedy Forum. They will address enhancing behavioral and mental health support, from insurance parity to holistic treatments.
