Legislative Building Committee to meet Sept. 22

Posted

DOVER—The Legislative Building Committee will meet on Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. to continue discussions regarding a potential expansion to Legislative Hall.

The committee has met routinely since November 2021 to study and make recommendations for a plan to address Legislative Hall’s technological, safety, and space needs.

The agenda for the Sept. 22 meeting includes a presentation from Studio JAED, the architecture and engineering planning company hired to complete a space study of the building and a feasibility study of the project. The presentation will outline the final draft report of their recommendations, including a summary of needs, surveying results, alternative scenarios, and more.

At the conclusion of Studio JAED’s presentation, a public comment portion of the meeting will commence. After public comment, members of the Legislative Building Committee will vote on the approval for the final draft report.

Members of the public can attend the meeting in the Joint Finance Committee Hearing Room or register to join the Zoom livestream and provide public comment by accessing https://sg001-harmony.sliq.net/00329/Harmony/en/PowerBrowser/PowerBrowserV2/20220909/3/2186
