Millsboro Legion post hosting ‘welcome’ for Vietnam-era vets

Upon their return to America, troops serving overseas during the Vietnam War were frequently met with hostility and very little fanfare, unlike the reception those in earlier conflicts had received.
As a possible remedy, American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro is holding a “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans” event Oct. 6, with invitations extended to the public and veterans who served from 1955-75.
