MILLSBORO — A 35-year-old Laurel woman died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning, Delaware State Police said.

Police said that at approximately 6:31 a.m., a Suzuki Cappuccino was traveling eastbound on Shiloh Church Road, approaching Hardscrabble Road.

At the same time, a 2008 Ford Taurus was traveling westbound on Shiloh Church Road, west of Hardscrabble Road, police said.

For reasons under investigation, authorities said, the right-side drive Suzuki attempted to turn left onto an access road into the path of the Taurus where the front of the Taurus impacted the side of Suzuki.

The woman in the Suzuki was taken to an area hospital where she died, police said. Authorities identified her as Elysia Garin on Thursday.

Police said the 28-year-old Salisbury, Maryland man in the Ford Taur sustained minor injuries and refused treatment.

Shiloh Church Road was closed for approximately three hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this incident. Anyone with information was asked to contact Senior Cpl. J. Smith by calling 302-703-3267. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
