DOVER — Are you a rising leader looking to make a lasting impact in central Delaware?

The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce is offering a final opportunity to apply for its 2025 rendition of Leadership Central Delaware. This comprehensive program is designed to cultivate the region’s future leaders, through community engagement and professional development.

If this sparks your interest, don’t delay — this is your last chance to submit your application. Applicants must be chamber members.

The program is seeking motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds, who are committed to making a difference in central Delaware. Whether you are a young professional, an experienced executive or a community volunteer, if you have a passion for leadership and a desire to contribute to the region’s growth and prosperity, while broadening your network, this program is for you.

LCD is not just a course; it’s an experience that transforms participants into effective community leaders. Over 10 months, members will engage in monthly sessions covering various aspects of leadership, including government, health care, education and economic development. Participants will gain invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing central Delaware, network with influential community leaders and develop the skills necessary to drive positive change. Upon successful completion, students will graduate and receive their diplomas, as they walk across the stage at our Awards for Excellence Celebration next June.

Classmates will think and act critically about what it means to be a leader, all while honing necessary skills like teamwork, problem solving, delegation, goal setting and innovative thinking. All this is accomplished while having some serious fun along the way.

The application process is competitive, so interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. An in-person interview will be conducted. The deadline is rapidly approaching, and only a limited number of spots are available.
