La Red holding Women’s Health Walk in Seaford

SEAFORD — La Red Health Center and its partners are offering free health screenings and connections to community resources at its eighth annual Women’s Health Walk at Soroptimist Park, 1158 Middleford Road.

The gathering will be Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include more than 35 vendors, food, screenings and maternal and behavioral health services, as well as free naloxone and training on how to use it in case of an opioid overdose.

The Food Bank of Delaware also will be distributing to those in need.

Some of the agencies to be represented at the Women’s Health Walk are Beebe Healthcare, Bayhealth, TidalHealth, Delaware Technical Community College, AIDS Delaware, PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Georgetown, NAMI Delaware, Nemours Children’s Health and AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware.

Bilingual La Red staff also will be available to connect individuals with resources.
In addition, the event will feature a live broadcast from the Maxima radio station and door prizes.

The first 50 people to register at any of La Red’s offices in Milford, Georgetown or Seaford or at the walk will receive a free T-shirt.
