DOVER – Kent County Levy Court Offices will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday. Offices will resume regular business hours on Monday, Nov. 28.

There will be no trash service on Thanksgiving Day for any Kent County Garbage Collection District customers.

All garbage, recycle, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day with Thursday’s collection occurring on Friday, and Friday’s collection on Saturday.

Also, as a reminder, yard waste service will end the last week of December. This is also the week between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Since Christmas and New Year’s Day are both on Sundays, trash service will not be affected, and normal pickup is expected.

Anyone who experiences an emergency sewer issue during this time should call 302-363-4537 for assistance.
