DOVER — Levy Court Administrative Offices will be closed Dec. 25 and Dec. 26 for the Christmas holiday.

Business hours will resume on Dec. 27.

For New Years, County offices will be closed Jan. 1, 2024, with the resumption of regular business hours Jan. 2, 2024.

Kent County Recreation Center will be closed Dec. 25 and Dec. 26 and will reopen Dec. 27. For New Years, the Recreation Center will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2024, and will reopen on Jan. 2, 2024.

The Kent County Public Library will be closed Dec. 24 -31. During this time, the facility will undergo needed repairs. Due dates have been adjusted for returns that would have normally been due during this time. The exterior book drop will be locked, but materials may be returned to any other Delaware Public Library. Communication with the Library will be difficult as there will be no one at the library to answer telephone calls and phone messages, as well as email messages.

Kent County trash service during the holidays will be a one-day delay in service for County trash customers the week of Christmas as well as the week of New Years. Yard waste service will end for the year the week of Dec. 25. Limited yard waste service will be extended during the weeks of Jan. 8-12, and Jan. 15-19, where only Christmas trees will be collected.
