VIOLA — The Kent Conservation District will hold a free Local Working Group meeting from 2-4 p.m. March 20 at Loblolly Acres.

The event is open to the public and will follow at the conclusion of the Delaware Ag Safety Conference event.

The meeting will give Kent County participants an opportunity to discuss and provide input regarding specific Kent Conservation District cost share programs, guidelines, resources, etc.

The feedback will be used to ensure suggestions are provided to the Kent Conservation District Board of Supervisors and Conservation Planners for establishing program guidelines.

Also, during the meeting, Kent County stakeholders will have an opportunity to discuss the U. S. Department of Agriculture Farm Bill programs, conservation needs and resource concerns in Kent County with the feedback from the meeting attendees being provided to the Delaware State Technical Committee.

The Technical Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service regarding the implementation of certain provisions of the Farm Bill.

Registration is required for this event.

For information or to register, contact Beverly Darling at 302-608-5370 by March 15.
