Cambridge's own Evolution Band performed during Groovefest.
CAMBRIDGE - Groovefest rocked Poplar and Race streets in Cambridge over the weekend, as the event brought blues, brews and barbecue to the business district. Among the many acts that performed on Sunday was Evolution Band. Also on stage were John Nemeth and The Blue Dreamers from Nashville, Tenn.; Josh Christina from Baltimore; Hoppie Vaughn and the Ministers of Soul from Roanoke, Va.; Karen Somervbille from Baltimore; and the Cambridge-South Dorchester High School Jazz Band. The event was organized by Downtown Cambridge, to promote economic activity in the city’s business district. For information about Downtown Cambridge, email office@downtowncambridge.org.
