My goodness, Mr. Chuck Mankin, what world do you live in (“No caps needed for lottery awards”)?
Lottery winnings limited to only $2 million would not be an incitement to play? If there were more such winners and less high-dollar-only winners, even more people would play because the odds would be more in their favor.
My comment, being my most polite, is that calling such a limit “a socialist thing” is childish reasoning. But, when nearly everything that people of a certain ideology dislike is called “socialism” — as is presently happening in our federal government, to the great detriment of everyday Americans — my suggestion would be to purchase a really good dictionary and look up the definitions of “socialism” and “democracy.” And you don’t need to win a lottery to do that.
