Free entertainment a part of NASCAR weekend at Dover Motor Speedway

DOVER — Free entertainment is planned in Dover Motor Speedway’s Fan Zone throughout the upcoming April 26-28 NASCAR tripleheader weekend.

The Fan Zone opens at noon April 26 and 9 a.m. April 27 and 28.

Events and attractions include the world’s largest rubber duck, Hollywood-themed show cars, NASCAR’s Kids Zone and White Lightning Bar + Arcade.

Other attractions include:

•Movie Night At The Monster, at 8:30 p.m. April 26 with the Academy Award-winning “Top Gun: Maverick” at the Monster Monument.

•Dirty Deeds, The Ac/Dc Experience on April 27 after the A-GAME 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on the Grove Stage. For more than 20 years, the Boston-based musical group has toured the U.S. with a high-energy tribute AC/DC’s hits.

•Fireworks on April 27 will be presented by Kent County Tourism at 9 p.m. and will be visible from all areas of the property.

•American country singer/songwriter Tim Dugger and friends will entertain Monster Mile fans as part of a national tour of NASCAR venues. Mr. Dugger’s Dover Motor Speedway appearances will take place on April 28 the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza.

•The Amish Outlaws will headline on the Grove Stage Sunday. The popular band will perform their traditional blend of rock, country, and pop hits for fans of all ages.

•United States Naval Academy Drum & Bugle Corps will entertain fans near the Monster Monument and perform the national anthem before the green flag of the Würth 400.

Comprised of 100 midshipmen from all classes and majors, it is the oldest active drum corps in the nation.

•Canine aquatics company Dockdogs bringing leaping pooches to the Monster Mile for multiple performances.

•Mirror Men strolling entertainers with their antics and comic abilities.

•Robocars are cars one minute and life-sized action figures the next, with operators bringing costumes to life, with a driving skills and crowd interaction.

• As seen on “America’s Got Talent,” the Fearless Flores Thrill Show takes on the Globe of Death, 65-foot Sway Pole, the Wheel of Destiny and much more.

Micro Professional Wrestling will match up in several professional wrestling battles on April 27 and April 28. The Micro Wrestling Federation has been drawing fans across the nation for more than 20 years for its shows featuring high-flying action, body slams and leaps from the top rope.

Formed in 2000, the Micro Wrestling Federation features an entire cast of athletes and performers under 5 feet tall.

•Riki Rachtman, the longtime host of MTV’s “Headbangers Ball”, will emcee several events with NASCAR drivers and other personalities, including the April 27 Monster Mile Bash.

•The USO Military Village presented by Waste Masters is a huge area that displays the country’s finest military assets. Learn how this group assists service members and their families around the world. Check out various military vehicles and apparatus.

•Food favorites and trucks will include The Missing Piece, Holy Smoked Meats, Kona Ice, Lemonade Factory, Scoop of Dough, Frozen Farmer, Martin’s Concessions, Philly Pretzel, Rita’s Ice, Caroll’s Corn Crib, Bunting’s Popcorn, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Brain Freeze.

•Several musical acts will perform around the property before the Würth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on April 28. Scheduled acts include: Homestead Bluegrass Band, Mariachi Arrieros, The Red Hot Ramblers and the Trinidad North Steel Drum Band.

•Monster Truck rides will be available for a small fee near the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza.

Autograph sessions, mascots and cheer squads will also be a part of the fun.

The Würth 400 is the Monster Mile’s 106th NASCAR Cup Series race. 2024 marks 55 consecutive years that Dover Motor Speedway has hosted a NASCAR Cup Series event. The Monster Mile is one of only 10 tracks in the country to host 100 or more NASCAR Cup Series races.
