Frederica election set for March 2

FREDERICA — The municipal elections will take place on March 2 with the mayor and one council seat up for election.

Current mayor, William “Chick” Glanden is running for reelection for Frederica mayor. He will be running against Connie Summers, current Frederica town councilwoman. 

One seat on the council is also up for vote. Current council member, Virginia Simpler, is one of the candidates on the ballot.

She is running against current board of adjustments member, Adam Wiater.

The election will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at Frederica Fire Hall on 6 Front St. Voters must be registered to vote in the town of Frederica and provide proof of residency. 

Absentee ballots can be obtained by emailing townhall@townoffrederica.com.
