Four adults, two juveniles arrested after search warrant in Dover

DOVER — Following a search warrant Wednesday, Dover police arrested Dover residents Roderick Dixon, 38; Janita Sullivan, 40; Larry Harris, 23; Khareim Hanzer, 24; a 17-year-old Dover male; and a 13-year-old Camden male, authorities said.

Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said detectives had been conducting a drug investigation into an apartment in the 200 block of West Reed Street. Dover officers and members of Probation and Parole executed the search warrant on the apartment at noon Wednesday.

Mr. Dixon and Ms. Sullivan were taken into custody without further incident outside the home, while Mr. Harris was detained without further incident inside.

Cpl. Schmid said Mr. Hanzer and the two juveniles ran from the residence but were taken into custody after a foot pursuit.

According to police, during the search warrant, officers located 1,304.3 grams of marijuana, 926 bags of heroin and a loaded Walther CCP 9 mm handgun. The older juvenile was found in possession of 54.8 grams of marijuana and a Polymer80 9 mm handgun.

A search of a vehicle occupied by Ms. Sullivan revealed 12.3 grams of cocaine, 3.3 grams of marijuana, 64 bags of heroin, a jar containing suspected cocaine residue, two digital scales and $494.

Mr. Dixon was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree conspiracy. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $49,101 cash bail.

Ms. Sullivan was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree conspiracy. She was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution, New Castle, on $45,601 cash bail.

Mr. Harris was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana in a Tier 3 quantity and maintaining a drug property. He was released on $2,000 unsecured bail.

Mr. Hanzer was charged with resisting arrest and released on $250 unsecured bail.

The 17-year-old was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited (three counts), carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. He was committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center, Milford, on $41,100 cash bail.

The 13-year-old was charged with resisting arrest. He was released on his own recognizance to a guardian.
